Oklahoma Hospice & Palliative Care Association |
Become a MemberThe Oklahoma Hospice & Palliative Care Association (OHPCA) was incorporated in 1983. The purpose for this organization to exist is to advocate for quality hospice care throughout the state of Oklahoma. In order to be successful in our mission, we need the active support and collective participation of ALL hospices in the state of Oklahoma to effectively provide hospice education, addresses concerns and questions, represents views and more. The OHPCA is leading the efforts to unify Oklahoma hospices with resources and information that will promote each hospice to provide quality hospice care to their community. One of the ways that the OHPCA provides value to Oklahoma hospices is through avenues of dialogue and networking opportunities as they face the daily challenges of hospice care. The OHPCA offers educational workshop, conferences, town hall meetings, public forums and nine different committees for members to become involved in. There are also team member discipline meetings, where volunteer program leaders, social workers, chaplains and soon nurses, gather together to share information, ideas and to build relationships. Here they support one another as well as challenge one another to grow personally and professionally. One of the great benefits of the OHPCA is the “open to the membership” board of directors meeting. The meetings are held monthly and are open to any member of the association and are a great way to learn and become involved with a variety of hospice issues that occur in Oklahoma. |
